ADVOCACY AND POLITICAL ACTION
In an ever expanding regulatory environment it is critical to interface with policy makers and regulators so that we can educate them on our processes, inform them as to the importance of our production to the end products that society uses every day from electronics to aerospace, aviation and all transportation modes, defense and a host of commercial products such as furniture, appliances, fixtures and so much more. We track legislation and regulations and comment and testify to give perspective and make sure that we do our utmost to avoid the often unintended consequences of well-meaning policy makers.
LATEST NEWS AND HAPPENINGS
MFASC and MFANC recently held their annual November Legislation Dinner meetings in Los Angeles and San Jose. Christian Richter from NASF and Jerry Desmond from Sacramento were the guest speakers giving insight into local and national politics. MFASC Executive Director,
AQMD Rule amendment 1469 passed on November 2, 2018 at the South Coast Governing Board meeting. MFASC has been fighting this rule amendment for more than a year an half and having spent close to $ 600,000. The final rule
MFASC member company Aircraft X-Ray Laboratories recently hosted a fundraiser and tour for Miguel Santiago for California Assembly 2018. Mr. Santiago enjoyed a personal tour of Aircraft X-Ray Laboratories and was able to network with MFASC board members in attendance.
